Spoken Sol: A Way With Words

by Sol Amen-Ra (Author), Micheal Perry (Foreword) Format: Paperback

This book is the product of self-reflection, personal studies, and therapy. It is written with the intention of understanding the human condition. The best way for me to absorb knowledge is to share it, whether through journaling, intimate conversations, or love letters. This piece is a compilation of them all. The result is Spoken Sol - an intellectual journey where wordsmith meets enlightenment, and poetic prose solicits healing. Each page is intended to be a conversation piece, and each conversation brings us closer. Spoken Sol implies one who speaks light. And no one knows the light like someone who was birthed in darkness.

About the Author

Dayton native Sol Amen-Ra is a poet, writer, motivational speaker, and community activist whose life journey shapes his work. Sentenced to life in prison at 18 for homicide, he served 18 years incarcerated, where he confronted what he calls an internal "prison of unawareness." This awakening sparked a relentless pursuit of knowledge, leading him to study psychology, history, and literature, and to author three books exploring love and relationships.
